You Are the Placebo Meditations 1 and 2 were originally created in 2014 as some of Dr Joe’s earliest guided meditations to accompany the book 'You Are the Placebo'. Both meditations were updated in 2022. While their structure is similar, the primary difference is how many beliefs or perceptions you focus on during the practice:
- Meditation 1 guides you through changing two beliefs or perceptions within a single session.

Meditation 2 is devoted entirely to changing one belief or perception, allowing you to focus all of your attention and energy on a single area of transformation.
If you prefer to work on two beliefs in one session, Meditation 1 may be a good fit. If you would like to dedicate more focused time and energy to one specific belief, Meditation 2 offers that more concentrated experience.
Each meditation also features different music, creating a slightly different overall experience, even though the foundational process is the same.
